Tips To Lose Weight Fast

I will try and go over the possible ways to lose weight fast, their positive notes and pitfalls. How much weight are you trying to lose and how fast? You can do a lot in 12 weeks but not in 12 days. And even 30 days is doable if you are really committed to making the necessary changes. Calories out must be more than calories in for weight loss to occur.

Fasting And Calorie Restriction

There are many variations on this theme but suffice it to say unless you decrease how many calories you take in you will not be able to lose fat fast. Fasting is also a good tool but needs to be used in moderation to keep the metabolism from slowing down. Severe calorie restriction also can be a good tool short-term but should not be done for long periods of time. Make sure whether you fast or severely restrict calories that you drink plenty of water each day. Hydration is extremely important to health. Plus water helps flush out toxins and fat. If you decide to go on a prolonged period of fasting or severe calorie restriction it should be done under a doctor’s supervision.

Meal replacement bars and shakes are everywhere now a day and can be helpful if you are always on the go. Beware and read labels as many have no real food in them just chemicals sugar and flavor. This leaves your body crying out for nutrition as even though you ate you didn’t give your body any real nutrition.

The other problem with extreme dieting is rebounding at the end and gaining back all the weight that was lost. Still if done short-term and you do not have a history of eating disorders or yo-yo dieting this may be helpful to rapid weight loss in the short-term.

Increasing Exercise

Get moving! The other way to lose weight is to increase the amount of calories you burn. Bodyweight exercises, weightlifting and cardio all will increase the amount of calories burned. Just remember it is best to work out 3-4 days a week and let your body recover one day in between. Taking a long walk after dinner helps as well. So in order to lose weight fast you need to incorporate a consistent exercise program but be sure to take rest days as well.

Diet Pills

There are many prescription and non-prescription diet pills that people take to lose weight fast. There are three main types of diet pills. Some work by suppressing the appetite so that food is not as appealing or you don’t want to eat as much food. Other diet pills work by increasing the metabolic rate so that you burn calories more rapidly and have extra enegy in the gym. Then there are those that are suppose to block your system from absorbing fat.

Diet pills can have potentially dangerous side effects and some of them are illegal. Manufacturers of these diet pills may claim that they have the secret to losing weight fast. They will gloss over any potential side effect or complications. Do the research before using such products so that you know the risks involved before you try them. Better yet consult your doctor prior to using any diet pill.

There are safe, short-term methods to lose weight fast but they require dedication and good judgment. The first several days the weight lost will be water weight but that is okay as you don’t want to carry it around either. Remember to drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruit and vegetables while eliminating junk food.

Yes, very true. Thin is better. Easier on all our organs and our joints. And it is the same for our pets! (After all I am a veterinarian too!)

Well, that depends. Long slow boring cardio has been shown to not be very beneficial for fat loss and long-term actually encourages your body to store fat. Intense short, interval cardio is another story. It is excellent for fat loss and cardiovascular conditioning.
